For cars that already have supporting parts fitted. The calibration is written around those parts, so the engine can make use of them.
Once an engine can breathe better, with more air in and less restriction out, the standard software no longer matches the hardware. A Stage 2 remap is written around the parts that are actually fitted to your car.
That’s why we look at what’s fitted before anything is booked. A Stage 2 file on a car without the parts to support it isn’t right for the engine.
Every car is different, so send us a list of what has been fitted and we will tell you whether it is ready for Stage 2. Stage 2 on a road car never involves taking off the DPF, catalytic converter or other emissions parts.
If something isn’t ready, we’ll say so before any work is done.
Start to finish.
Message us on WhatsApp with the reg and everything that’s been changed on the car.
We’ll tell you before booking if anything else is needed.
A fault scan and live data check on the day.
Your car’s original software is read and kept safe.
The calibration, written around your parts, goes on the car.
A test drive with live data before we hand it back.
Each stage builds on the one before it.
Can’t see yours? Send it to us on WhatsApp.
Only if the supporting parts are already fitted. On a standard car, Stage 1 is the right starting point.
Yes. Once the supporting parts are fitted, the car can be remapped again to suit them.
Not always. It depends on the car and how much extra torque it will make. We check it as part of the assessment.
It should not, as long as the emissions equipment stays fitted and working. We never remove emissions parts on a road car.
Remapping is legal in the UK. It counts as a modification, so you should tell your insurer.
We read and keep your car’s original file before writing anything, so it can be put back if you need it.
Send the reg and a list of what’s fitted on WhatsApp, and we’ll tell you if it’s ready.
